How Our Adoption Process Works

Step 1: Sign the Meet & Greet Waiver
Before visiting our shelter or adoption partner locations, please complete our Meet & Greet Waiver

Step 2: Meet Our Team
Adoptions are conducted on a first-come, first-served basis. When you arrive, our staff and volunteers will welcome you and learn a little about what you’re looking for in a pet. We’ll have a casual conversation about your household, lifestyle, and expectations to help guide you toward a successful match.

Step 3: Meet the Pets
Spend time getting to know the pets you’re interested in. Dog meet-and-greets take place in our outdoor play yards, while cat meet-and-greets happen in their adoption rooms. We encourage all household members to participate, including resident dogs when possible, to help ensure a good fit.

Step 4: Adoption Consultation

Step 5: Make It Official
Found your new family member? Congratulations! We’ll complete the adoption paperwork, collect the adoption fee, and send you home with your new best friend.
Adoption Hours
10 AM – 5 PM
Open daily on a first-come, first-served basis.
Meet and Greet Waiver
Please sign the meet and greet waiver before coming to see the animals available for adoption. It will expedite the adoption process.

Puppy

Golden Pawsibilities
Dogs ($150) and Cats ($45) that have been at the shelter for over 90 days. Senior Cats that have been at the shelter for over 90 days – $0
(Adoption fee is waived)
All of the dogs and cats adopted from FAR are spayed or neutered, microchipped and current on vaccinations.
