Lost Pets
Start by checking on www.pets911.com. Pets911 is the local “lost and found” website for pets in Maricopa County.
POST FLYERS Maricopa Animal Care and Control provides a sample lost pet flyer. Post your flyers in the immediate area where the pet was lost or found, at local grocery, drug and convenience stores, gas stations, the Post Office and anywhere there is a public bulletin board. Check with your local schools to see if you can post a flyer there, as well.
CHECK WITH your neighbors, your mail carrier and your paper delivery person to see if they have seen your pet — or recognize the pet you have found.
PLACE AN AD IN YOUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER. In most cases, your ad will be free if you have found a pet; you will probably have to pay to place an ad for your lost pet.
CALL your local veterinarians and veterinary hospitals to see if your pet has been injured and turned in for care.
