It was a great time, lots of fun and funds raised for our animals. Thanks to the Roadrunners for providing the music that had everyone dancing all night and to the FAR Volunteers for their help organizing this event – we hope to do it again next year!

Meeka

Meeka was found as a stray with her kittens in October of 2007. She can be a little shy in busy situations but is a sweet kitty when thingsare calmer. Meeka is a polydactyl cat which means she has extra toes. This makes it look like she has adorable little mittens. She appreciates gentle attention and she does fine around other cats. She loves to sit on your lap, cuddle, and will enjoy a sweet petting. She was dropped off at the Humane Society by people whose house had flooded.

FAR Animal Adoptions at PetSmart!

FAR animals are available for adoption at PetSmart the second and fourth Saturday of each month 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the Desert Ridge location and every Saturday and Sunday 11:00 am – 4:00 pm at the PetSmart located in the Whole Foods Shopping Plaza at Scottsdale Road and Mayo Boulevard. Five or six dogs will be available at each event. Come meet your “furever ” friend this weekend at PetSmart!

Volunteer Orientations for the shelter are at the FAR shelter facility, for about an hour.
